I wasn't sure whether this belonged in a nature category or an architecture category.
This is my favorite photograph out of all the pictures I took while on my tour of Europe. This is from a castle in Germany. I know there are a lot, but this one was specifically the castle from which I was told Walt Disney based his "Cinderella" castle was based on.
So this photo specifically looks out from a balcony facing west, I believe, over a lake and some German mountains. Down below, the little buildings are in the area where we were dropped off from the bus and had to hike up the mountain to get to the castle. We could have ridden horse-drawn carriages, but decided to hike instead because we had been riding a bus for a few days already. Besides, a little fresh air goes a long way where I'm from...

Forgetting is easier than forgiving, forgiving means that you accept what people have done. Then again, it is easier to ask forgivness than permission.
I love that you weren't afraid to get the columns and balcony in frame here. Too many times we're tempted to lean out over the edge to get the view, I think, but this showcases the scene that much more in my opinion.
Thank you. Actually, that happened by accident. I would have just looked off the balcony, but we weren't allowed outside in that area, so the doorway was roped off. So I had to make do with that shot. But it turns out it is my favorite! And I also like the architecture, I just don't see green very often from where I'm from, so I'm always interested.

When I first saw this, I expected it to be one of those with almost a million pageviews, lol, but I think it's amazing. The foreground is well lit, and the mountains in the background are almost unreal. It's just an amazing picture! Good job Blake
